After several years of prayer and planning Spotsylvania Church of God opened Cornerstone Christian Preschool in 2004.  Initially CCP offered high quality Christian childcare in combination with a rigorous, structured preschool program using aBeka for Language Arts, Math and mix of proven curriculum for Socialization, Bible, and Kindergarten Readiness.  CCP enrolled children from the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years. 

CCP has narrowed it's focus to provide Advanced Preschool including the same core curriculum and includes, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language, Computer, Music, Art and Physical Education.  CCP enrolls students from the ages of 2-5 and continues to offer before and after school enrichment for our school age students. 

During the summer months CCP & Extended has always provided a thematically structured summer camp based on a specific area of God's Word and taught from a present day perspective.  Not compromising the infallible Word,  rather planned in a way to reach our older students and produce opportunities that will foster positive self esteem, Christian character, physical fitness, citizenship and "hands-on" knowledge that cannot be afforded in behind a desk in a classroom.

Cornerstone Christian Preschool is a ministry of Spotsylvania Church of God. The Center is religiously exempt in accordance with Section 63.2 page 1715 and 1716 of the code of Virginia.  This holds CCP accountable to all rules and regulations set forth by Virginia Department of Social Services yet the state does not regulate our curriculum, menu or Bible instruction.  The Health Department does various surprise inspections to ensure CCP is in compliance with their regulations at all times.  CCP is required to provide legal documentation for ever standard set forth by VDSS by having many inspections, be up to date on all continuing education in the proper care and development of the young child as well as many other requirements annually and bi-annually.  Cornerstone Christian Preschool is covered by public liability insurance.
